A native of Laurens, SC, Rob earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Wofford College and then served ten years as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. Upon returning to SC, Rob pursued a career spanning 18 years in financial services and insurance. He spent time at the end of his career as a property claims adjuster, working with clients who experienced traumatic events and damage to homes and families.
